Description of Caballeronia telluris HMG1944
Cells are Gramstainnegative, rod shaped, and non-flagellated. After 3 days at 30℃ on R2 A medium, colonies are circular, convex, smooth, and white colored. The result from the API 20NE tests show positive for arginine dihydrolase, urease, and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, β galactosidase, esculin hydrolysis and gelatinase. D- Mannose, D- mannitol, D- glucose, L- arabinose, N acetylglucosamine, potassium gluconate, malic acid, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid are utilized; but not D- maltose, capric acid, and trisodium citrate. Strain HMG1944 (= NIBRBAC000508757 ) was isolated from soil in Cheoingu (37°20 ʹ 23.4 ʺ N, 127°16 ʹ 16.0 ʺ E), Yonginsi , Gyeonggido, Korea. The 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain HMG1944 have been deposited in GenBank under accession numbers OL347559 GoogleMaps .
