TYPE LOCALITY: Afghanistan or S Tibet ( Ognev, 1963b; Vinogradov, 1928) .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type specimen, of which the country of origin, " Afghanistan ", is questionable (see discussion in Hassinger, 1973, and Roberts, 1977).

COMMENTS: Subgenus Prosalpingotus (see Pavlinov and Shenbrot, 1985). Reviewed by Ognev (1963b).
