Type species. Chespirito zaragozai Ferreira, Keller and Branham new species.
Etymology. The new genus is a patronym to Roberto Gómez Bolaños (1929–2014), known by his stage name of Chespirito (little Shakespeare). Chespirito was of Mexican nationality, and a prolific screenwriter, comedian, actor and director, regarded as one of the most brilliant artists of his time, being widely known in Latin America by his roles as the characters Chespirito, El Chavo del Ocho (or Chaves, in Brazil) and El Chapulin Colorado (or Chapolin Colorado, in Brazil). Gender masculine.
