Distribution ( Fig. 102 View FIGURE 102 ). This species is widespread from Papua New Guinea to the Solomon Islands and New Caledonia ( Tsuda 2000), where it is recorded from a few localities throughout Grande Terre.
Habitat. This species occurs in swamps, ponds and lakes.
Biology and behaviour. Not yet described.
Status. Because there is still some debate about its status in New Caledonia, we were unable to assess its conservation status (DD).
