Host and locality in Australia: Charadrius melanops , Australia, Victoria, “Lake Purdigulae, 8 mi NW of Caloc”; same host, NW Australia, Brooking Springs ( Mironov & Dabert 1997).
Current name of host: Black-fronted Dotterel, Elseyornis melanops (Vieillot, 1818) ( Charadriiformes : Charadriidae ).
Notes: The type locality should be Lake Purdiguluc, 11 km northwest of Colac , Victoria (S. Mironov, personal communication) .
