Material.—Two ventral valves.

Remarks.—These specimens are characterised by a strongly and evenly convex ventral valve with a transversely, semioval outline, maximum width at the hinge line, a rectimarginate anterior commissure, and very finely parvicostellate radial ornament.The ventral and dorsal interiors are unknown.Both specimens closely resemble the type spe − cies Mabella semiovalis ( Klenina 1984: 69) from the Taldyboi Formation (upper Caradoc to lower Ashgill; Chingiz Range, Kazakhstan) in their external shell shape and radial ornament, but there is insufficient detail to make further definitive comparisons.

Occurrence.—Locality 2523.
