Type locality. Calcutta, West Bengal, India

Description. Trophozoite elongated, club shaped and measuring 40 − 80 µm × 12 − 30 µm. Gametocyst rounded or ovoid and measures 70 − 80 µm in diameter. Oocyst not stated.
