Camenta (subgenus Eucamenta ) Péringuey, 1904: 90; Machatschke 1959: 743.

Type species (here designated): Camenta (Eucamenta) transvaalensis Péringuey, 1904 (no type specimens have been examined).

Originally included nominal species: Ablabera castanea Boheman, 1857 and Camenta (Eucamenta) transvaalensis Péringuey, 1904 .

Remarks. Since Péringuey (1904) saw only two females of Ablabera castanea Boheman it seems more suitable to fix Camenta (Eucamenta) transvaalensis Péringuey, 1904 as the type species because it is better known.
