Figs 76–79 View FIGURES 76 – 79
Description. Male (holotype). Body length 4.2 mm. Head and pronotum dark reddish; elytra brownish black, with slight bluish reflection; legs and antennae reddish-brown.
Head 1.2 times as long as wide, differentiated from short neck; tempora strongly narrowing posteriad, posterior angles absent. Eyes medium-sized, strongly convex. Dorsal surface moderately glossy, distinctly punctate and largely corrugated (especially medially to eyes), with indication of smooth, impunctate median strip posteriorly; punctures distinctly separated. Setation short, subdecumbent; few tactile setae. Antennae moderately enlarged in terminal third; antennomere X 1.5 times, XI 2.3 times as long as wide.
Pronotum 1.4 times as long as wide, distinctly narrower than head including eyes, nearly evenly rounded anteriorly, strongly narrowed and moderately impressed (constricted) postero-laterally in dorsal view; pronotal disc largely evenly shaped and convex, with posterior rugosity slightly protruding from outline in lateral view. Surface rather glossy, mostly minutely and sparsely punctate, distinctly coarser and denser postero-medially, nearly impunctate near procoxal cavities, with transverse corrugation dorsally shortly before base and smooth antebasal area; postero-lateral impressions and adjacent dorso-lateral area rather coarsely, longitudinally wrinkled. Setation as on head.
Mesosternum with slight median longitudinal bulge, indistinct in lateral view. Metasternum simple.
Elytra 1.6 times as long as wide, conjointly rounded apically; humeri distinct; postscutellar impression absent. Surface glossy, distinctly punctate; punctation double, setiferous punctures rather widely separated. Setation nearly evenly developed, sparser near base, generally longer and more raised than on head, decumbent; numerous tactile setae.
Metathoracic wings fully developed.
Fore legs modified ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 76 – 79 ); profemora with short tooth-like process, rounded apically, bearing short fringe of stiff setae subapically; protibiae moderately swollen and with small protrusion on inner side; penultimate tarsomere widened/flattened distally, with terminal tarsomere articulated dorsally near base in all tarsi. Setation normally developed; pro- and mesotibiae with two, metatibiae with single distinct terminal spur.
Abdominal sternum III with paired submedian, longitudinal protrusions at base; sternum VII moderately emarginate posteriorly, and with small setose median process projecting from its margin ( Fig. 77 View FIGURES 76 – 79 ). Tergum VII simple, widely rounded posteriorly. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 78 View FIGURES 76 – 79 ); paired prongs simple, slender, pointed apically, with lobed medio-basal projection. Tergite VIII with paired sclerites rounded apically, narrowly connected medially. Terminal sclerite of segment IX (spiculum) membranous. Aedeagus ( Fig. 79 View FIGURES 76 – 79 ); apical portion of tegmen 0.4 times as long as basal-piece, trilobed apically.
Female. Externally differing from male as follows: fore legs and abdominal sterna III, VII simple; tergum VII subtriangular, narrowly rounded to pointed apically.
Variation. Body length (♂♀) 4.1–4.2 mm.
Type material. Holotype, ♂: LAOS south, Champasak prov., Bolaven Plateau, 10–18.IV.1999, Route (No. 23) Pakse—Paksong , BAN ITOU env. (km 35), alt. 800m, N 15°10.4′ E 106°05.8′ (GPS), E. Jendek & O. Šauša leg. [p] ( NMPC). GoogleMaps

Differential diagnosis. Anthelephila keilana sp. nov. belongs to the A. fossicollis species-group. It appears to be close to A. alamea sp. nov. Based on the male characters, but differs by many details: sternum III with paired protrusions (rather then carinae); paired prongs narrower, showing different shape of apices and setation, having more prominent basal projection, lacking bunch of robust subapical setae etc. (cf. Figs 78 View FIGURES 76 – 79 versus 18), median process of sternum VII more distinct, sparsely setose.
Etymology. Species name is Laotian girl name, Keilana (adored one), and should be treated as noun in apposition.
Distribution. Laos.
