Geographic distribution. Known only from the type series taken in São Paulo, Brazil ( Monte 1940) .
Plant associations. Rubiaceae ( Monte 1940) .
Comments. The type specimens are presumed lost due to the fire that destroyed much of the Museu Nacional du Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro, 2 September 2018 .
