Diagnosis: Size about 35–44µm long and 24–27µm wide. Cylindrical body. Peduncle very short, about a third of the body’s length, with a widening in the proximal portion. Smooth pellicle. Peristomial disc flat. Cytoplasm with many fine granules. Contractile vacuole in the apical part of the cell. “S”-shaped macronucleus, located longitudinally in the body. The components of the oral ciliary, Polykinety 1 and Polykinety 2 starting from Polykinety, Polykinety 3 short, with two rows. Aboral ciliary crown has several rows and a very large scopula.
