Material examined. KHORASAN: Can Chiroc 50 km S of Tabas, 1 specimen, 17.v.1994 ; Tabas , 1 specimen, 16.- 18.v.1994 .
Comments. In hilly steppes. Endemic for Iran. The generic status of Sternodontus contestor Kiritshenko, 1966 , was recently revised by GAPON (2007b) and the species was transfered to Oplistochilus Jakovlev, 1887 .
