Carapace. Blackish red and sparsely covered with white hairs, 1.26x longer than wide. Median carapace bears a reddish band slightly branching obliquely and laterally to PLE, submedian with quintuplet lateral branches radiating from fovea to posterior of fovea. Chelicerae dark maroon, subtriangular and finely striated transversely in front, narrows towards the fangs. Promargin bears two teeth, apical tooth the largest. Retromargin with two relatively small teeth. Pedipalp brownish yellow, darker towards base of cymbium and yellow towards apical one-half. Maxillae longer than wide, reddish brown with yellowish white anterior, apicolateral corner converging. Labium dark reddish brown except yellow truncate anterior margin. Sternum dark yellow brown with moderately rebordered margins, 1.16x longer than wide.
Eyes. In three rows of 4, 2 and 2. AER almost as long as PME row. PLE row 1.27x wider than AER. Eye diameter (mm): PME (0.20)> PLE (0.17)> AME (0.13)> ALE (0.10). Clypeus height narrow, approximately 0.6 AME diameter.
Legs. Reddish brown on femora I-IV except yellow posterodorsal band on femora III-IV, patellae and tibiae annulated, metatarsi and tarsi yellow. Spination in femur I 2 -0-0-1, III 3 -0-0-1, IV 3 -0-1- 1; tibia I 2 (bristles)-6-1-3, II 2 (bristles)-4-2-2, IV 2 -6 -2-2; metatarsus I 0-5-1-2, II 0-5-3-3, and IV 0-6-3 -3. Leg formula 4123.

Material Examined. Holotype male (coll. No. Da2010-3), CHINA, Hainan Island, Danzhou, 9-13 August 2010, ATBarrion, and SCVillareal.
Diagnostic Features. This new species closely resembles the general body markings of Arctosa hunanensis Yin, Peng and Bao, 1997 but differs from the latter in (1) cheliceral dentation, (2) smaller body size (3) color pattern in the legs, carapace and abdomen, (4) leg spination,(5) shape of median apophysis, and (6) prominently triangular palea.
Etymology. Named after the type locality.
