Key to the Palaearctic species of Macromyrme (females)
1. T1 without posteromedian spot of pale setae. T2 with two subbasal spots of pale setae separated by distance at most equal to their own diameter. Dorsal propodeal face posterad with small median tubercle.— Egypt (South Sinai)......................................................................................... 2. Antennal tubercle with denticle. Mesopleuron with precoxal carina. Clypeus basally with two well-developed larger lateral and one smaller medial tubercles. Propleuron anterad with complete vertical carina. Pygidial area basally granulated with rare longitudinal rugae............................ M. sinuata (Olivier) (= Mutilla araratica Rad. , = Mutilla binotata Rad. )
- Antennal tubercle without denticle. Mesopleuron without precoxal carina. Clypeus basally without developed tubercles. Propleuron anterad with vertical carina in upper half. Pygidial area basally finely rugulated without longitudinal rugae........................................................................... M. villosa (Klug) (= Mutilla sinuata auct.)
