Description of Altererythrobacter namhicola View in CoL EgM1111
Cells are Gramstainingnegative, nonflagellated, diffusible pigmented and coccishaped. Colonies are circular, convex and orangeyellow colored after 3 days of incubation on MA at 25°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis in API 20NE, but negative for nitrate reduction, urease, gelatinase, β galactosidase, indole production, glucose fermentation and arginine dihydrolase. Utilizes Dglucose, Larabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate and malic acid. Does not utilize capric acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain EgM1111 (= NIBRBA0000114939) has been isolated from gut of Fulvia mutica, Wando , Korea.
