27. Scolopendra dalmatica C.L. Koch, 1847 View in CoL
(1) Sc. dalmatica View in CoL C. K. [sic!]: Verhoeff, 1901: 453.
(2) Scolopendra dalmatica View in CoL C.L. K.: Kanellis, 1959: 19 (pars).
(3) Scolopendra dalmatica View in CoL ssp. dalmatica C.L. Koch View in CoL : Würmli, 1980: 344.
(4) Scolopendra dalmatica C.L. Koch, 1847 View in CoL : Zapparoli, 2002: 64, Fig. 26.
General distribution. Europe: Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006; Simaiakis & Mylonas 2008).
Chorotype. E-Mediterranean (EME).
Records in Peloponnisos ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ). Ahaia: Patra (1, 2, 4). Argolida: Palamidi, near Nafplio (1, 2, 4). Arkadia: Tripoli (3, 4).
Ecological notes. 0–300 m; a thermophilous species also known from agroecosystems ( Dobroruka 1965; Matic 1976; Zapparoli 1994).
Remarks. The natural occurrence of S. dalmatica in Peloponnisos needs to be confirmed, as the species has never been reported in recent times after the first records from Patra and Palamidi by Verhoeff (1901) and because the record from Tripoli is considered certainly due to human introduction ( Würmli, 1980: 345).
