Diagnosis. This species is easily recognized by having the harpe narrow with a thick apical setae, the basivolsellar protuberance rounded and very wide, the aedeagal dorsal outer lobes wide and posterior margin of the basal cover plate slightly incurved.

Description. Head. Mandible with two distal teeth. Median clypeal lobe subtrapezoidal, with one angulate large tooth; median clypeal carina high in profile, complete or nearly so, straight in profile or nearly so. Frons weakly coriaceous, punctures large and dense. Vertex crest straight or nearly so. Dorsal pronotal area with anterior margin coarse. Tergal process submedian, consisting of tuft with few setae, without depression. Posterior hypopygeal margin straight or nearly so. Genitalia. Harpe wide basally, apical margin angulate, abaxial margin not projected; gonostipes shorter than harpe, ventral margin not excavated until outer margin of basivolsella; digitus short, basidorsal corner strongly projected; basivolsella with wide, well-defined protuberance, without spines; aedeagal ventral valve with apex anterior to apex of dorsal one, wide, abruptly narrowing apicad; inner margin sinuous; outer margin sinuous, curved laterad; aedeagal dorsal valve robust, with two pairs of apical lobe; outer lobe long, narrow, apical margin acute, and posterad; apex of inner median filament anterior to apex of lobe, directed posterad; basal cover plate narrow in lateral part, posterior margin completely incurved; apodeme not extending beyond genital ring.

Material examined. Holotype, 1♂: BOLIVIA, Dept. Beni, Rio Mamore, approx. 5 km. NW. mouth of Rio Grande , VIII–4–1965, J. K. Bouseman, J. Lussenhop Collectors ( AMNH) . Paratype: BOLIVIA, Beni, 1♂, Rio Mamoré, approximately 5 km. NW mouth of Rio Grande , 1–6.VIII.1965, Bouseman & Lussenshop ( AMNH) ; ECUADOR: Sucumbios, 1♂, Sacha Lodge , 290 m, 0.5ºS, 76.5ºW, 4–14.III.1994, Malaise trap, P. Hibbis [col.] ( LACM) GoogleMaps .

Distribution. Bolivia.

Etymology. This species is named after the engineer Enedina Marques, the first black woman to graduate in engineering in Brazil.

Remarks. It is similar to D. luisae sp. nov. by having the dorsal margin of harpe straight, and the aedeagal ventral lobes slender. However, D. enedinae sp. nov. has the harpe narrow, the basal cover plate entirely wide, and basivolsellar protuberance very wide and well demarcated, whereas D. luisae sp. nov. has harpe wide, the basal cover plate wide in the median region and basivolsellar protuberance poorly delimited.
