Diagnosis. This species is easily recognized by having the tergal process with few tuft of setae almost indistinguishable from the tegument, the apex of inner median filament about twice as small as the aedeagal dorsal lobes and the basal cover plate wide medially.
Description. Head. Mandible with two distal teeth. Median clypeal lobe trapezoidal, with one angulate short tooth; median clypeal carina high in profile, complete or nearly so, straight in profile or nearly so. Frons coriaceous, punctures small and sparse. Vertex crest weakly incurved. Dorsal pronotal area with anterior margin coarse. Tergal process submedian, consisting of tuft with few setae, without depression. Posterior hypopygeal margin sinuous. Genitalia. Harpe wide basally, apical margin truncate, abaxial margin not projected; gonostipes same size or nearly so, ventral margin not excavated until outer margin of basivolsella; digitus short, basidorsal corner poorly projected; basivolsella without protuberance, with spines; aedeagal ventral valve with apex anterior to apex of dorsal one, wide, progressively narrowing apicad; inner margin straight; outer margin slightly sinuous, slightly curved laterad; aedeagal dorsal valve narrow, with two pairs of apical lobe; outer lobe short, narrow, apical margin rounded, and posterad; apex of inner median filament anterior to apex of lobe, directed posterad; basal cover plate narrow in lateral part, posterior margin straight or nearly so; apodeme extending beyond genital ring.
Variations. In one specimen, the tergal process looks like a mark, difficult to see and apex of aedeagal dorsal valve aligned with apex of aedeagal dorsal body.

Distribution. Bolivia, Brazil (Amazonas, Rondônia).
Etymology. This species is named after Dandara dos Palmares, a black female warrior in the colonial period.
Remarks. It is not similar to any other of this group.
