Diagnosis. This species is easily recognized by having the aedeagal dorsal lobes short, the apex of inner median filament higher than aedeagal dorsal lobes and slightly curved ventrad, the basivolsella without protuberance, and the digitus wide with dorsal corner well projected.

Description. Head. Mandible with two distal teeth. Median clypeal lobe subtrapezoidal, with one angulate tooth; median clypeal carina low in profile, incomplete apically, straight in profile or nearly so. Frons coriaceous, punctures small and sparse. Vertex crest straight or nearly so. Dorsal pronotal area with anterior margin coarse. Tergal process submedian, with tuft of setae without depression. Posterior hypopygeal margin straight or nearly so. Genitalia. Harpe slightly wide basally, apical margin truncate, abaxial margin not projected; gonostipes shorter than harpe, ventral margin not excavated until outer margin of basivolsella; digitus short, basidorsal corner strongly projected; basivolsella without protuberance, without spines; aedeagal ventral valve with apex anterior to apex of dorsal one, wide, progressively narrowing apicad; inner margin outcurved; outer margin sinuous, slightly curved laterad, aedeagal dorsal valve narrow, with two pairs of apical lobe; outer lobe short, narrow, apical margin abruptly acute and posterad; apex of inner median filament posterior to apex of lobe, directed ventrad or nearly so; basal cover plate narrow in lateral part, posterior margin rounded; apodeme extending beyond genital ring.
