Ulopsina (Indoulopa) View in CoL subgen. nov.
Type species: Ulopsina (Indoulopa) himalayana sp. nov.
Externally very similar to Ulopsina (Ulopsina) .
Male pygofer without posterior constriction separating posterior lobe. Valve laterally with posterior margin produced and conically rounded, articulating with subgenital plates. Subgenital plate depressed, held in horizontal plane. Style gracile with series of narrow setae on lateral margin, narrowed distally and with obliquely truncate apex. Aedeagus with well-developed dorsal apodeme, rest divided into basal well-sclerotized theca and distal less sclerotized endotheca separated by constriction, without processes
Remarks. This subgenus is externally similar to Ulopsina (Ulopsina) but differs in the male genitalia. It may prove to be a genus distinct from Ulopsina but for the time being is considered as its subgenus till more material becomes available. In both the male specimens of the type species dissected had the vesica completely everted, however, less sclerotized vesica suggest that it is retractable into theca.
