This only African (and probably only Old World) genus of the subfamily Ninetinae is widely distributed from Namibia to the Arabian Peninsula, including Madagascar ( Huber 2000, 2002; Huber & El Hennawy 2007). The new species described below is the first representative of the genus (and subfamily) recorded from Central Africa ( Fig. 25 View Figs 25 - 26 ).
