Examined material. BOLIVIA; Province of Ñuflo de Chávez of Santa Cruz Department; Centro “Chiquitos”; camera stations 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 ( Table 1); first capture on 1 May 2017; secondary forest patch in pastureland, primary forest, and border of pastureland to forest. Identification. The melero or Tayra is a medium-sized mustelid (3–7 kg), with a long body and neck, short limbs, and a long, hairy tail. The body is dark brown, except for the head and neck, which is lighter brown, and the throat, which has a whitish spot.
