Eremiothrips varius (Bhatti) View in CoL
This species was described from both sexes collected on Suaeda sp. ( Amaranthaceae ) at New Delhi, India ( Bhatti 1967), but was subsequently reported from Iran, in Golestan and Khuzestan provinces, ( Alavi 2000; Bagheri et al. 2002). Although the shape of process on abdominal male tergite IX in this species is distinct (bifurcated) ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 13. E ) several variants related to structure of appendages and chaetotaxy of abdominal segment IX of this species have been reported ( Bhatti 1972).
Material studied. Iran, Fars province, Shiraz, Badjgah, 21 females, 2 males from Atriplex patula , 19.viii.2011 (KM511).
