Drilorhinus klimenkoi Kovalev et al. 2019: 188 View Cited Treatment .
Type Locality. SW Iran, Lorestan province, 20 km N Pol-e Dokhtar, Baba Zeyd vill .
Type Material. Holotype, male, “SW Iran, Lorestan province, 20 km N Pol-e Dokhtar, Baba Zeyd vill., 2.V.2007, A.A. Klimenko leg.” ( ZIN). The re-examination of type material was unnecessary because the original description, figures and drawings ( Kovalev et al. 2019) allowed us to diagnose and identify this easily recognizable species.

This is the only species classified in the genus Drilorhinus , and it clearly differs from Drilus species in the region by the yellowish to reddish brown head, the strongly projected frontoclypeal part of head, the subtrapezoidal, less transverse pronotum (1.30–1.35 times as wide as long), divergent elytra, and male genitalia 1.90 times as long as maximum phallobase width (head dark brown, frontoclypeal region short and widely concave, pronotum distinctly transverse, 1.60–1.80 times as wide as long, elytra adjacent to each other for almost their whole length, and male genitalia 1.65–1.70 times as long as maximum phallobase width in Drilus iljini and D. iranicus ) ( Figs. 1–5 View Fig View Fig View Fig View Fig View Fig ).
= 2.0 mm.
Variability. Body 6.8–7.7 mm long, frontal distance between eyes 1.85–1.95 times eye diameter, pronotum 1.30–1.35 times as wide as long, and elytra combined 1.9–2.0 times as long as wide.
