Type material: * Holotype ( USNM 180697 ) , * Paratypes (5) ( USNM 180698 ) , * Paratypes (5) (LACM-AHF- POLY-1902).

Type locality: Eastern Pacific, Mexico, Gulf of California, Sinaloa, West Río Fuerte , 25°39’54”N, 109°28’36”W, March 1985, silt with fine sand, 35.19‰ salinity, 16.8°C, 5.4 ml/O 2 dissolved, 3.6% organic matter, 28.6 m .

Records: Only known from the type locality.
