Acrotrichis cincinna sp. n.

Habitus Fig 3A . Length 1.06 mm. Colour dark brown, antennae and legs dusky yellow. Antennomeres 3–11 0.39 mm long Fig. 3 C. Mentum and submentum chaetotaxy Fig. 3 E. Width across eyes 0.38 mm. Pronotum 0.64 mm wide, 0.32 mm long, sides evenly rounded and without an insinuation before the hind angles when viewed at 45°, Fig. 3 C. Elytra 0.62 mm long, 0.63 mm wide. Mesoventral collar with a median incision Fig. 3 I. Posterior margin of metaventrum and metacoxal plates Fig. 3 H. Pygidium, Fig. 3 F, without setae on the anterior margin and with pairs of longer setae as Fig. 2 F (rubbed off from the specimen depicted in Fig. 3 F)

Male: aedeagus Fig 3 D; ventrites 7 and 8 without any distinctive characters.

Female: spermatheca with a very long, loosely formed, coiled duct, Fig. 3 G.

Etymology. From the Latin cincinnus meaning a curled hair and referring to the form of the spermathecal duct.

Diagnosis. The form of the mesoventral collar and the spermatheca distinguish this species.

Type data: Holotype: ♂, Bolivia, Santa Cruz, Amboro National Park, Los Volcanoes, c. 1000m, S. 18° 06' W.63° 36', 20/xi–12/xii/2004, MV light sheet, Barclay, M.V.L. & Mendel, H. ( BMNH). Paratypes: 2 exs, same data as holotype ( BMNH); 18 exs, Bolivia, Santa Cruz, Amboro National Park, Los Volcanoes, c. 1000m, S. 18°06' W.63°36', 20/xi–12/xii/2004, Flight Interception Trap, Mendel, H. & Barclay, M.V.L. ( BMNH); ♀, GPS36, BOL / Nov 2013/11, Bolivia 2013, Santa Cruz dep., W. Amboro NP, Barientos, 1817m, 29.xi, S. 18°06'00" E.63°48'05", sifting litter, Winkler app. extr., P.Baňař lgt. ( UASC / MMBC); 2♂ 3♀, GPS23, BOL / Nov 2013 /, Bolivia 2013, Cochabamba dep., ca 8 km E. of Villa Tunari, 298m, 22.xi., S. 16°59'12" E.63°48'05", sifting rotten wood, Winkler app. extr., P.Baňař lgt.
