Kamimuria robusta Wu, 1948 View in CoL

( Figs. 5–6 View FIGURE 5 View FIGURE 6 )

Examined material. 1 male ( HIST), China: Fujian Province, Shaowu County, Wuyishan, Nanhu Forest Farm, 409m, 2019. VI.11, light trap, N 27°32’38’’, E 117°29’3’’, R. R. Mo & W.H. Li GoogleMaps ; 2 males and 2 females ( HIST), same locality and collector, 2019. GoogleMaps VI.12-15.

Adult habitus. General color light brown and darker in aged specimens. Head yellowish brown, ocellar patch subquadrate with lighter anterolateral extensions, brownish to dark brown ( Fig. 5a View FIGURE 5 ). Antennae brown to dark brown, palpi light brown. Pronotum light brown to brown with distinct rugosities. Legs brownish to brown. Wing membrane yellowish brown with dark veins. Metasternum and sterna 4–7 with patches of setae.

Male ( Figs. 5–6 View FIGURE 5 View FIGURE 6 ). Forewing length ca. 18.5-18.8 mm. Hemitergal lobes relatively thick and robust, nearing reaching the posterior margin of tergum 9, each lobe almost parallel-sided in lateral view ( Fig. 5c View FIGURE 5 ). Tergum 9 with spinous mesal sclerite covering about ½ length of the tergum. Tergum 8 lacking sensilla basiconica ( Fig. 5b View FIGURE 5 ).

Aedeagus ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). Basally with a well sclerotized triangular medial spot on dorsal surface before a median constriction; main armatures consisting of a dorsolateral band of ca. 4-5 rows of triangular spines which is slightly interrupted dorsally and widely separated ventrally, and a C-shpaed spinose distal band ventrally expanded in a large triangular area subapically.

Female ( Fig. 5d View FIGURE 5 ). Forewing length 22.5–22.8 mm. General habitus similar to male. Subgenital plate triangular with rounded tip; the lobe is short but wide, covering most of length of the segment at base and its origin; apex without posteromedian incision usually present in the genus. Sterna 9-10 with posterior margin slightly produced.

Distribution. Known only from Shaowu County, Fujian Province.

Remarks. Our specimens have tergum 8 lacking spine and relatively thick, robust hemitergal lobes possibly as implied in its specific name, as mentioned in the original description ( Wu 1948). Our recently collected specimens have a darker habitus than that of the light brown holotype of K. robusta . This specimen may be teneral, collected on 16 February, an early spring date, presumably at the beginning of emergence period.
