Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 A–D Table 4 View TABLE 4
Material examined. MEXICO, Guerrero, Grutas de Acuitlaplán, 1470 m elevation, soil, 21.vi.1980, J. Palacios, coll. One paratype in preparation deposited in the Albert J. Cook Arthropod Research Collection at Michigan State University.
Complement to description. Head dorsally with macrochaetae A0, A2, Pa5 and Pm3. Pre-labral chaetae ciliate. Distal margin of labrum with 1+1 basally fused spines, fused section wide ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 B). Mesothorax macrochaeta a5 present, p3 complex with 5 macrochaetae arranged as in Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 A. Metathorax without macrochaetae. Abd. 1 chaeta a6 absent. Pseudopore on Abd. 4 in field just posterior to T4 ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 C); inner macrochaetae A3 and B5 present; A3 nearly paired with T2; laterally with 5 large macrochaetae, macrochaeta F2 absent. Abd. 4 posterior chaetae 10+10. Tenent hair spatulate. Fore- and middle claws with 3 inner teeth, hind claw with 4 teeth, distal unpaired tooth on hind leg minute. Mucro rectangular, with 4 sequential teeth ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 D).
Remarks. This is the only species with known chaetotaxy having 2 inner macrochaetae on Abd. 4 and lacking lateral macrochaeta F2.
The characters listed above differ form the original description in the presence of dorsal head, mesothorax and Abd. 4 macrochaetae, and the presence of spines on the distal margin of labrum.
