Etymology. This is called luculentus in reference to its brilliant, shiny surface.
Description. Known from females only. Fore wing length 4.7–7.1 mm (holotype: 4.7 mm). Antenna with 30 flagellomeres. Mesoscutum with only a few punctures along front margin and sometimes along notauli. Scutellum without punctures, all smooth and shining. Mesopleuron with strong and rather dense punctures, smooth inbetween; below subtegular ridge smooth and with or without punctures. Metapleuron with juxacoxal carina absent or at most a short basal carina. Propodeal areas smooth with strong punctures. Hind coxa smooth and shining between strong punctures. Hind femur length to width ratio 3.0– 3.4 in female (male unknown), ventrally with a large tooth that is longer than width of hind tibia at mid length, and adjacent smaller teeth. Hind tibia 1.65–2.4 (1.65) mm. Second tergite 1.75–2.1 (2.1) × longer than wide at base, smooth and shining. Ovipositor 1.3–1.45 (1.3) × as long as hind tibia.
Colouration. Antenna uniformly brown or black. Face black or dark brown with orange inner eye margins and yellow malar space. Clypeus yellow or light orange. Back of head black or dark brown. Mesosoma including propodeum orange. Hind femur black or very dark brown, with apex yellow. Hind tibia black or dark brown. Fore wing strongly infuscate, smoky-brown. Metasomal tergites orange, from tergite 3 onwards with wide, light apical bands that are often laterally interrupted by dark round mark.
Notes. The two specimens that I included in this species differ by size, but still probably belong to the same biological unit. The species is similar to P. b i c i nc t u s, but beside all the differences in colour pattern, it can be distinguished from the shorter ovipositor.
