Etymology. This name refers to the continent 'Fourecks' in the discworld novel by the late Terry Pratchett. Fourecks has many similarities with Australia, and the name is most probably based on the XXXX beer from Queensland.
Description. Fore wing length 4.4–4.8 mm (holotype: 4.8 mm). Antenna with 31 flagellomeres. Mesoscutum with more or less even, dense punctuation. Scutellum with some obvious punctures, smooth in-between. Mesopleuron with strong and rather dense punctures, smooth in-between; below subtegular ridge with parallel, diagonal carinulae. Metapleuron with juxacoxal carina distinct on most of its length, although weaker medially. Propodeal areas smooth with strong punctures. Hind coxa coriaceous and matt, with weak punctures. Hind femur length to width ratio 3.7 in male and 4.5 in female, ventrally with a small tooth at most half as long as width of hind tibia at mid length. Hind tibia 1.8–1.9 mm. Second tergite 2.6 × longer than wide at base, covered with longitudinal carinulae. Ovipositor 2.0 × as long as hind tibia.
Colouration. Antenna basally orange, remainder brown or black. Face black or dark brown. Clypeus dark at base and orange at apex. Back of head black or dark brown. Mesosoma black. Hind femur orange, with apex yellow. Hind tibia orange or yellow with base and apex broadly darkened. Fore wing hyaline, apex at most very slightly darkened. Tergite 1 orange at base, black or brown on remainder. Second tergite mostly dark but often more red-brown towards apex, tergites 3 onwards mostly orange laterally with some dark markings medially, especially at base, in the male mostly dark.
Material examined. Holotype ♀: Label data: ' Mackay,; Queensland; 1909-45.' / '9' / ' Mackay ; 4.00'; at BMNH.
