status

Cribraria sp.

Represented by one specimen (31527), on canopy soil (pH 3.4). This specimen, which consists of only about half a dozen sporocarps, resembles Cribraria stellifera Nowotny & H. Neubert in having a peridial net with few meshes and dark notes but also differs from the latter in having a well-developed cup (up to one-third the height of the sporotheca). Cribraria stellifera lacks a well-developed cup. Although the material is very limited, this appears to be a distinct morphospecies that does not conform to any species with which the first author is familiar.
