Deltoplastis similihoristis Wang et Yu View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs 7 View FIGURES 1–8 , 19 View FIGURES 16–20 )

Type material. CHINA: Holotype ♀, Motuo County, Linzhi , Xizang, 2089 m, 19.VIII.2017, leg. Mujie Qi & Xiaofei Yang, slide No. YS 18039.

Paratype. 1♀, same locality as holotype, 2076 m, 8.VIII.2018, leg. Mujie Qi, slide No. YS 18042 .

Description. Adult ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–8 ). Wingspan 23.0 mm.

Head yellowish brown, with erect white scales laterally. Antenna with scape and basal several segments of flagellum dark brown except white along posterior margin; flagellum pale yellow. Second segment of labial palpus thickened, brown, mixed with rough, dark brown scales, white at apex; third segment much slender, longer than second, brown.

Thorax greyish black, mixed with yellow scales; tegula yellow. Forewing with costal margin slightly arched before basal 1/3, oblique downward apically; basal streak on costal margin wide, dark brown basally, narrower and paler terminally, reaching 1/3 length of costal margin; ground color yellow, markings dark brown: median patch extremely large, its lower margin from base to distal 1/3 of dorsum, upper half narrowed, anteriorly obtuse, reaching upper margin of discal cell; discocellular stigma reniform; subterminal patch trapezoidal, its inner margin about half length of outer margin, outer margin reaching both costal margin and dorsum; narrow dark brown stripe extending from below discocellular stigma oblique downward to dorsum; subterminal line white, extending from costal margin along outer margin of subterminal patch to dorsum, almost parallel with termen; terminal zone dark brown, with scattered white scales; black line from beyond subterminal line along costal margin through termen to tornus; apex obtusely produced; termen shallowly concave below apex; fringe with orange-yellow basal line and brown median band, pale orange terminally. Hindwing greyish brown; apex obtusely rounded; fringe greyish brown, with orange-yellow basal line. Foreleg with femur brown, tibia pale yellow dorsally, dark brown ventrally; midleg with femur brown, tibia yellow dorsally, brown ventrally, ventral surface with two white spots at base and middle; tarsi of fore- and midlegs yellow except 1 st tarsus brown dorsally at middle, 2 nd and 3 rd tarsi brown dorsally at base; hindleg with femur brown, tibia yellow on inner surface, brown on outer surface, with long hair-like scales, tarsi yellow.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 16–20 ). Abdominal sternite VIII with posterior margin setose laterally and broadly concave; anterior margin produced medially to a large trapezoidal process. Apophyses anteriores approximately 2/ 3 length of apophyses posteriores, with a small furcation at basal 1/3. Ductus bursae broad and sac-like basally, twisted once distally; ductus seminalis much slender, arising from near base of ductus bursae, with dense spinules on inner wall. Corpus bursae elliptical, approximately 2/3 length of ductus bursae; signum small, elliptical, densely protuberant, at posterior 3/4 of corpus bursae.

Male unknown.

Diagnosis. This new species is superficially similar to D. horistis ( Meyrick, 1910) , but it can be distinguished from the latter by the terminal zone of the forewing suffused with white scales and the subterminal line almost parallel with termen, and in the female genitalia by the ductus bursae without denticles and the straight ductus seminalis; in D. horistis , the terminal zone has some cloudy white dots around the apex and along the termen, the subterminal line is from the costal margin that is far apart from the apex oblique to before the tornus, and the ductus bursae has some denticles on inner wall and the ductus seminalis is strongly helical.

Distribution. China (Xizang).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin simil - and horistis , referring to the similarity of the new species and D. horistis .
