We have studied the type material deposited in the collection Cavro (MNHN-Paris) and this species belongs to the genus Xyalaspis (Anacharitinae) following the key given in Restrepo-Ortiz & Pujade-Villar (2010). Furthermore, according to Hedicke (1914) the type series includes two specimens, a male and a female collected in September 1910 in France, but in fact there is only one male because the female was collected in August 1910 and belongs to the type old series of O. cavroi , excluded here because this female is an Aegilips (Anacharitinae) .
