Diagnosis. The species is characterized by the following characters: the pectinations of the male are longer than five times the diameter of the shaft; the vertex is white, sparsely mixed with greyish brown on the anterior margin; the hind tarsus of the male is about one-fifth the length of the tibia; the ocellus of the forewing is small and rounded, and the silvery white inner ring is incomplete, extending from posterior part to the anal margin; the ocellus of the hind wing is indistinct, but the two slightly wary silvery white lines are visible, sometimes sparse yellowish brown scales are visible. In the male genitalia, the socii are fused to the apex of the tegumen, roofshaped, and has one short digitiform process terminally; the internal margin of the tegumen has several small spines; the sacculus is much shorter than the valvula, and has an acute spine at basal part; the aedeagus has a small process (densely covered with small teeth) at apex, and a long lobe is arising from the terminal of the aedeagus; the vesica has two short sclerotized lobes; the lateral processes of the male eighth sternite are broader and longer than those of P. plagiata . In the female genitalia, the lamella postvaginalis and the lamella antevaginalis are strongly sclerotized and forms a funnel, the former one has two small semicircular processes; the sclerotized ductus bursae is extending to the middle part of the corpus bursae on the left side, and extending to the posterior part of the corpus bursae on the right side; the small spines of the signum are not fused.
