General distribution. Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, European Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine.
Plant associations in Iran. Apart for Fabaceae , all other plants are occasionally visited by this species. Anthemis sp. ( Asteraceae ) ( Modarres Awal 1986), Artemisia sp. ( Asteraceae ), cotton, lucerne, clover ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997, 2012), sainfoin and sometimes on wheat and bean ( Modarres Awal 1997, 2012), Helianthus sp. ( Asteraceae ), Trifolium sp. ( Fabaceae ) ( Borumand 1998; Khanjani 2006), alfalfa fields ( Khanjani & Kalafachi 2000; Esmailii et al. 2006; Khanjani 2006; Modarres Awal 2012; Mirab-balou & Radjabi 2013), Astragalus aureus Willd. (Fabaceae) , Trifolium badium Schreber , T. montanum L., T. pratense L. ( Fabaceae ) (Nikdel 2015), Fabaceae ( Sanaei & Seiedy 2017) .
