Loborhynchapion amethystinum (Miller, 1857)
Distribution in Iran. “Persien” ( Wagner 1910; Legalov et al. 2010).
General distribution. Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, northwestern China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Syria, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
Comments. A male and two females of Loborhynchapion lobirostre Reitter, 1901 were collected by M. Košťál in Turkmenistan just about 10 km from Iran border, so the presence of this species in northeastern Iran is very probable (M. Košťál, personal communication).
