Pyrgo View in CoL sp. 3 ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 :17)

Description. Test porcellaneous, smooth, lacking ornament. Test rounded with greatly inflated chambers, sutures shallowly depressed. Aperture subterminal, oval with a short, stout tooth that may be bifid.

Remarks. This species resembles Pyrgo sp. 1, but its chambers are more inflated and sutures more depressed. The dentition is also narrower ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 :17). This species resembles Pyrgo anomala ( Schlumberger 1891) in test and aperture shape and inflated chambers. However, damage to the few collected tests precludes a confident species assignment and comparisons.

Distribution within study area. This species was only collected from the channel sample between Heron and Wistari Reefs at a depth of 35 m.
