Type locality: “South America ”. Neotype-locality: Itatiaia, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Neotype male with labels: (1) printed on white paper: “ɗ”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white paper: “ITATIAYA [Itatiaia], 700 m | Est. do Rio [Rio de Janeiro State]. Brasil | 7-IV-1927 | illegible characters | J.F.Zikán [lateral inscription]”; (3) handwritten on white paper: “illegible characters”; (4) handwritten on white paper: “ Mydas ɗ | coerulescens | Oliv. 1811. | d’Andretta 1951 ”; (5) printed on white paper: “20.105”; (6) handwritten on red paper: “ Neótipo ”.
Preservation: Pinned; genitalia on plastic vial pinned with the specimen. Missing parts: right antenna.
