Diagnostic characters: Vertex with four black spots, 3 vertically arranged on the crown edge and one at the mid vertex. Scutellum yellowish. Tegmina ivory white with fuscous veins. Abdomen and legs are ochraceous.

Distribution: India: Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, and Tripura. Elsewhere: Australia, Bangladesh, Burma, China, Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Fiji, Ghana, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Laos, Liberia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
