Redescription (male, holotype). Body brown, slender, dull, pronotum slightly shinier. Head widest at eye level. Eyes large, convex. Ratio of head width at eyes to distance between eyes 1.75. Outer margin of head between genae and epistoma with obtuse emargination. Genae strongly rounded, angle-shaped. Punctation of head moderately coarse, not dense: diameter of punctures in middle of frons 2–3 times as long as as interpuncture distance; punctures coarser on sides of head (diameter of punctures subequal to interpuncture distance). Head with short recumbent setae near eyes. Antennae long, reaching middle of elytra, 3rd antennomere 4 times longer than 2nd.
Pronotum very weakly transverse (1.06 as wide as long) or with equal length and width, widest before middle. Lateral margins of pronotum weakly rounded, straight or weakly emarginated from widest part to base; anteri- or margin straight, base widely rounded at middle; anterior angles rectangular, posterior angles obtuse, narrowly rounded on apex. Disc of pronotum distinctly completely beaded, weakly convex; punctation fine, moderately dense: diameter of punctures subequal to as interpuncture distance on sides; as interpuncture distance 1.5–2 times as long as diameter of punctures in middle. Prothoracic hypomera with long longitudinal smooth wrinkles, lateral margins with short smooth transverse wrinkles.
Elytra strongly elongate (3 times as long as pronotum), widest at middle, lateral margins regularly very weakly rounded, widely strongly sinuated in apical part, with distinct long acute mucron. Base of elytra only slightly wider than base of pronotum. Strial punctures deep, as small foveae with smooth edges, not merged in entire rows. Elytral intervals weakly convex, with very fine and sparse almost inconspicuous punctation and large granules apically (to middle) and laterally. Epipleura reaching apex, pubescent with very short setae apically.
Abdominal ventrites finely and densely punctated. Ventrite 1 with denser punctation and very short setae in middle; ventrites 2–4 without setation; ventrite 5 widely depressed in middle, covered with dense goldish hairs, with completely beaded margin.
Inner sternite VIII thickened, strongly sclerotized, ventral side covered with very short setae.
Pro- and mesotibiae curved, with large dents on inner side, inner margin widely bisinuately (protibiae) or arcuately (mesotibiae) emarginated; metatibiae straight, without dents or granules. Protarsomeres slightly widened; metatarsomere 1 strongly elongated, 1.8 times longer than 2nd.
Parameres with parallel sided in apical third, dorsoventrally flattened in apical third and thickened in basal two thirds.
Body length 10.5–15.5 mm, width 3.8–5.2 mm.
Female. Body more robust tibiae without teeth on inner side, antennae shorter. Elytra with sharp distinct mucron apically. Body length (for known specimens) 12–13 mm.
Variability. Populations from Lebanon have shiny body, while specimens from Israel are dull.
Distribution. Syria (at least Damascus), Lebanon, Israel, Jordan ( Nabozhenko & Tichý, 2019).
