Key to species (based on males) of the genus Odocnemis from the Levant region and Cyprus
1. Elytra without distinct tubercles.............................................................. O. intrusicollis
– Elytra with distinct tubercles which possess coeloconic sensilla ( Nabozhenko & Keskin 2016)........................ 2
2. Elytra dorsally pubescent at apex. Metatibiae S-shaped in lateral view and C-shaped in frontal view; inner side of metatibiae depressed and covered with very dense long suberected hairs............................................ O. valga
– Elytra bare at apex (but epipleura can be setose). Metatibia straight; inner side of metatibiae with simple recumbent hairs.. 3
3. Pro- and mesotrochanters with acute projected tooth. Apical piece of aedeagus curved upward, with ball-like thickening at apex................................................................................... O. evae sp. nov.
– Pro- and mesotrochanters simple, without tooth. Apical piece of aedeagus straight or weakly bent, flattened at apex or with only small flattened thickness on dorsal side.................................................................... 4
4. Metatibiae with granules on inner side.......................................................... O. moabitica
– Metatibiae without granules or teeth...................................................................... 5
5. Elytral striae consisting of large, deep separated punctures with unclear margins, elytral intervals with very sparse, fine punctation, with often barely visible punctures; elytral lateral margins emarginated before apex, with more or less expressed caudal extension (mucron). Ventrite 1 usually with small brush of short suberected setae in middle................ O. praelonga
– Elytral striae consisting of small oval or dotted punctures, often merged in apical half, elytral intervals with distinct moderately coarse, sparse punctation; elytral lateral margins not emarginated before apex, elytra without mucron. Ventrite 1 without setated brush.............................................................................................. 6
6. Apical piece of aedeagus distinctly shortly thickened at apex....................................... O. amanosica
– Apical piece of aedeagus evenly flattened at apex........................................................... 7
7. Outer margin of protibiae strongly curved inwards..................................................... O. clara
– Outer margin of protibiae almost straight ......................................................... .. O. punctata
