3.8. Lepilaena View in CoL (4, Potamogetonaceae/Zannichelliaceae, Australia and New Zealand)

The genus Lepilaena is mainly distributed in freshwater habitats of Australia and New Zealand. Only Lepilaena marina has the ecological characteristics of a seagrass ( den Hartog and Kuo, 2006; Mabberley, 2008). So far no studies on secondary metabolites of any member of the genus Lepilaena seem to have been performed.
