Material: Two specimens: Al Jubayhah 22. IV.1997 (1ɗ); Amman 24.II.1995 (1Ψ) collected from almond flowers.

Distribution: Nearctic: Canada, USA, Mexico. Oriental: Bangladish, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Thailand. Palaearctic: Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia­Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Gruzia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lativa, Libya, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Yugoslavia.

This species seems to be a rare species in Jordan. In the United States, it is very abundant on plum trees and on Cardamine bulbosa (Schreb) . The immature stages attack Andrena spp. ( Andrenidae ) and Halictus (Halictidae) (du Merle, 1975; Yeates and Greathead, 1997).
