Agnosthaetus brouni View in CoL species-group
This species group comprises nine species which generally lack microsculpture on the dorsal and lateral sides of the head and thorax ( A. brouni , Agnosthaetus tumidus Clarke , A. aequalis , Agnosthaetus akatarawa Clarke , Agnosthaetus zonatus Clarke , Agnosthaetus bicolor Clarke , Agnosthaetus impressus Clarke , A. nitidus , and A. leviceps ). All species also share a similarly structured trilobate apical part of the median lobe, in which there are distinct apicolateral lobes (e.g., Fig. 121 View Figs , api) and usually (six of nine species) with an abruptly separate apicomedial lobe ( Fig. 121 View Figs , ame).
