Distrbution. China (Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Jilin, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Sichuan); Palaearctic region.
Remarks. For a list of synonymy, see Yang et al. (2007). Yang & Yang (2004) reported that this species is widely distributed in Northwest China. It can be separated from H. wudanganus by the hind coxa with 3 spinose anterior setae apically and right surstylus short and wide ( Yang & Yang 2004, fig. 257).
