Tetraneura rugicornis Hartig, 1841: 366 (nomen nudum —Remaudière & Remaudière, 1997: 236). HOLOTYPE: (874 [4.06]).
Specimen. A single, very badly damaged, alate that is pinned through the thorax. The specimen was collected on June 21, 1836 from Forstgarten , Braunschweig, Germany .
Remarks. The hind wing venation of this specimen does not agree with the genus Tetraneura Hartig, 1841 which should have a single transverse vein.
