The tribe Hemilophini Thomson, 1868 currently includes 128 genera and 553 species, Adesmus Lepeletier & Audinet-Serville, 1825 is the largest genus of Hemilophini , encompassing 65 species distributed from Mexico to Argentina ( Monné, 2017). Here we describe a new species of Adesmus .
