Syntelopodeuma formosanum View in CoL — Takakuwa 1954: 126 –127: fig. 145.

Diplomaragna formosanum View in CoL — Shear 1990: 32; Wang & Mauriès 1996: 86.

Diplomaragna formosana View in CoL — Shear 1999: 12, 14–15: fig. 1; Mikhaljova 2000: 174; Korsós 2004: 19.

Distribution: Taiwan.

Remarks: Insufficiently described from Taiwan ( Verhoeff 1936), even though revised by Shear (1999), this species still remains an enigma. As the type material contains only a single small fragment of the male gonopod ( Shear 1999), the only solution to resolve its status and identity seems to lie in finding topotypes which would match the original description. Unfortunately, no type locality more precise than “ Formosa ” is available. Furthermore, Verhoeff (1936) himself admitted a mistake in this locality on the label.
