Voucher. HEC 14632, 18 September 2001, western side of Cotton Bay (s.s. 13).
Ecology. Epilithic on horizontal substrate, just above spring low water level. Indian Ocean distribution. Burma, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Laccadives, Mauritius ( Ballesteros, 1994: 538, figure 1a–c View FIGS ), Mozambique, Rodrigues (this paper), South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania.
