Pongrácz (1923) described the species as “ Nelees irroratus Oliv. (imbecillus St.)” from Tropoja.

Remarks:

The most common Albanian species occurred in sand dunes, sandbanks, and habitats with bushes. Zoogeographical categorization: Pontomediterranean-Anatolian element (expansive eastwards).
